8th Annual Thornapple Woodpecker Festival

Grand Rpaids Aububon Club invites you to attend the 8th Annual Thornapple Woodpecker Festival in Middleville, MI on April 28.  This event is free to the public with the exception of a small fee if you choose to take a golf cart ride.  The paved Paul Henry - Thornapple Trail follows the Thornapple River and has been called the most beautiful railtrail in Michigan.  The area has an established population of the rare Red-headed Woodpecker, as well as all the other five eastern US woodpeckers. 


•You may walk down the trail any time. There will be birding experts available, if you would like a Tour Guide.

•There is a new 0.9 mile section of the Paul Henry Thornapple Trail now open, heading north past the Train Depot.

•The 1902 Train Depot is open with train expert docents available to give you the history of the trains.

•Crafters and Exhibits will be in the new pavilion across the street from the Village Hall. Crafter's registration form is here.

•Restrooms and drinking fountains in the Village Hall are open during the day.

•Golf cart shuttles will cruise the trail and you may obtain a golf cart pass for a donation.

•The Village Hall will have Seminars, Silent Auction and Exhibits from 9a.m. to 3 p.m.

•Parking is behind the Village Hall or on the street.
