Wednesday, July 08, 2026, 01:00pm - 03:00pm

You are invited to join Deborah Hall-Kayler, and Gail Chapman (President of the Michigan Bluebird Society) at the Chikaming Township Bluebird Symposium on July 8th at 1:00 PM. This event wil be held at the Habert Community Park.

Why is it important to support these beautiful birds? Learn about the types of Bluebird (BB) boxes, how they differ and how far apart to place them. Learn what it means to be a BB Monitor. How often do you monitor the boxes during the season? Learn why it is important to record your results. What are the biggest threats to BBs? You’ll get answers to these questions and more on Wednesday, July 8th at 1 p.m. ET in Harbert Community Park just north of the Township Office at 13535 Red Arrow Highway. Symposium will be in the Sandburg Pavillion.  If you already have boxes in your yard, please bring your questions and concerns to the gathering. Together we can grow the Bluebird population in Harbor Country.
