MBS Bird Conservation Webinars
The Michigan Bluebird Society is very pleased to announce a series of free online webinars on bluebird and other bird conservation topics. This initiative is part of the Society’s mission of educating its members and the general public about how to help bluebirds and other native birds. The webinars were also developed to help replace the in-person programs the Society has been unable to present since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
These webinars are just online seminars that allow attendees to watch and listen to a presenter’s program as if they were in the room with them. Presenters will include both our resident bluebird experts and guests from outside the organization. There will be approximately one per month during much of the nesting season. All seminars have no cost to attend and are open to all members and the general public. See below for the upcoming schedule.
The webinars will be broadcast live with attendees being able to ask questions to the presenter at the end. We are also planning to have them available for replay if you can’t attend the actual live event. Attending will require you to install the WebEx app on your computer or phone to join in. If you don’t want to use your PC or have limited internet service, there will also be a phone number where you can call in and listen (call charges may apply depending on your phone provider’s plan). You will need functioning speakers on your PC or device to hear the audio. To participate verbally or on video (not required) you will need a microphone and video camera on your device.
We request that attendees join in at least several minutes early, as we do have a capacity of 150 people for each webinar. If you are unable to sign in after the webinar is full, you can still view the replay of the event. The link for the replay will be placed on our website within a few days of the live event.
